Top 5 Healthy Snacks For Stoners

However you like to enjoy your herbs, there’s one thing for certain: after a good session, your stomach is going to be rumbling!
To stop you shoving fistfuls of Twinkies in your mouth to satisfy your craving, do a little prep in advance and your belly will thank you for it. However, these are no ordinary snacks – they all contain one extra little ingredient in various forms: cannabis CBD.
Here are a few ideas for delicious stoner snacks that are healthy too.

Rosin Cherry Bombs

If you’ve got a rosin press, you might as well get extra use out of it by making some tasty snacks that any stoner would love.
The fruity cherries make sure it’s reasonably healthy while the chocolate covering gives the snack a decadent twist.
To make this gorgeous snack, you’ll need around two hours and the following ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of ghee or clarified butter
  • 1/2 gram cannabis rosin
  • 1 1.2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 jar (10 oz) stemmed maraschino cherries (if no stems, you’ll need a pack of cocktail sticks)
  • 1/2 lb dipping chocolate – milk, dark or white are all suitable

Warm up the butter until it’s melted and reached 250° F; this ensures it has been fully decarboxylated. Pour over the rosin and stir well to infuse evenly; set aside to cool.
Drain and blot the cherries to remove excess moisture before placing them in the fridge to chill.
Mix the corn syrup and rosin butter together; add in the powdered sugar and stir well. You should be able to knead the mixture but if it’s too soft to handle, place in the fridge to firm up first. Once chilled, knead until it’s smooth and even.
Using around 1 teaspoon of the mixture, shape it around the cherry and place on a sheet. Once full, put the sheet in the fridge to chill once more.
Once suitable cooled, melt the chocolate of your choice taking care not to burn it. Holding the stem of the cherry – or the cocktail stick you’ve inserted – dip the cherry into the chocolate. The cherry will need to be completely encased in chocolate to preserve the juices and keep it moist.
Allow the chocolate drips to fall off them place back on the tray and chill again. Once the chocolate has set, check the underneath. A further dip in chocolate may be needed to completely encase the cherry.
Once set, it’s possible to eat them straight away but they’re best left in an airtight container in the fridge for around a week. Of course,…. that’s if you can wait that long!

Banana Bread

Everyone loves a moist banana bread but this one has a special added ingredient: cannabis powder.
You can make the banana bread as you normally would with:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cup powdered cannabis
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Sift the dry ingredients together and set aside, then in a separate bowl mash up the bananas some more with the lemon juice. Mix the remaining ingredients in a third bowl then slowly combine everything together.
You’ll need to bake your Banana Bread for around 1 hour 15 minutes at 375 degrees. If you get the timing right you could enjoy some still-warm banana bread…with an added kick!

Fruity Popsicles

When the temperature is soaring or you’re just feeling a little hot under the collar, these popsicles with their magic ingredient will really lighten the mood.

You’ll need:

  • Molds for the popsicles
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1/8 distilled water
  • 1 cup cannabis almond milk
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup cannabis honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • Popsicle sticks

Begin by pureeing the raspberries together with half the the honey, half the distilled water and lemon juice. Sieve the mixture and pour into the molds until they’re around one third full. Freeze for one hour.
While the first part is freezing, mix together the cannabis almond milk, yogurt and sugar until smooth. When you remove the molds from the freezer, pour this mixture into another third, leaving a third free. Return to the freezer.
To fill the final third, combine the blueberries the lime juice and the rest of the water and honey and mix until smooth. Sieve to remove the seeds and then pour into the last third of the molds, leaving at least 1/2 inch space from the top. Slide in the popsicle sticks and replace in the freezer for the final time.
In two hours you’ll have a batch of delicious stoner popsicles which can be enjoyed either on your own or with friends for a truly chilled out hit.
