Get Ready To Race For Charity In The 20th Annual Darien Dash 5K

The Darien Dash is a leading running event held in the suburbs of Chicago. The 2020 race is set to be the race’s 20th anniversary. It will be held on Sunday, 17th May 2020. The organizers of the race designed it to cover the residences and parks located in the suburbs. Through its years of existence, the competition has experienced tremendous growth, which led to the inclusion of the 10k run back in 2011. The Darien commerce Chamber plans the race. This organization organizes several fundraising events to help Darien people and their neighbors.

Fundamental Details for the Race

Participants can either choose to take part in the 1mile race, 5k run, or the 10k run. The entry fee for these races differ; if you wish to participate in the 1-mile race, you are required to pay $25 per person in advance or $30 if you pay on the day of the race. Members of CARA that register for any race categories get a $4 discount.

The entry fee for the 5K is an advance payment of $35 or $40 if you choose to pay on the event day. The 10K charges $45 if you pay early or $50 at the event. Advanced registration is acceptable up to 16th May 2020 at 11:59 p.m. The entry fees for the races will increase at 11:59 p.m. OF 17TH March 2020. The packet pickup for the competition will be present from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on 15th May 2020 at the Darien city hall located in 1702 Plainfield Road or on location on the day of the event.

The race will award the top three participants in each category. Furthermore, every participant will receive a Swag bag, an “all you can eat” discounts during race day at Darien Swim & Recreation Club. The first 200 people to register for the race will also receive a commemorative shirt. The 20th Darien Dash Race will celebrate Memorial Day and veterans. Part of the proceeds from the race will help an organization for wounded veterans. A Darien grade or high school with the highest number of registered participants (more than 30) will also be given a portion of the proceeds.

CARA Certification
