Killer Klowns From Outer Space Review:
This movie is basically the definition of a cult classic. Killer alien klowns, yes spelled with a K, come from outer space to abduct people by turning them into cotton candy. It’s an absurd premise that plays out as perfect as possible as you could probably get with this insane premise. The characters, the story, the effects, and the execution of it all are flawless.
First off, we get a great trio of leads here. The love triangle is played out well and acted to 80’s nostalgic perfection. They all have good development and defined personalities that make them great guides to help the audience through, on a grounded level, through this wild ride.
The klowns, however, are the true ingenious aspects of the film. They’re corny and cheesy but with phenomenal special effects. They will make you laugh and even might scare you, but by the end of the film, you’ll be wishing this movie would’ve gotten a sequel.
The plot is as fun as you’d expect from its title. It’s a simple straightforward concept with delightfully creative and imaginative execution. The gleefully colorful spaceship adds to the beautifully stupid weapons they used. It never takes itself seriously and because of it, you’ll always have a good time.
Killer Klowns is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. If you aren’t dazzled by the effects, or the characters, you’ll be slammed by the boldness of the creatures to make a film as odd and quirky as this.
Overall, Killer Klowns From Outer Space is an endeavor into uncharted territory of fun and horror in the likes of something we hadn’t seen before and haven’t seen since. It’s beyond this world when it comes to its imaginative effects and great characters. At the end, it will leave you with an impression you won’t soon forget. 8.1/10
