Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III Review:
I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the TCM franchise. I’ve steered clear of that awful 4th entry and everything has been fine, and I have a burning cult love for the third film in all it’s unrated but really X rated glory.
This film chronicles a couple who tries to survive Leatherface and his new family. The biggest plus for the film is obviously it’s darker tone. I loved the 2nd installment and its zany dark humor, but the darker tone of the 3rd installment is a welcome return to form.
The plot is basically just the good ol’ leatherface story we expect from such a film, but done in a way and with such likable characters that you can’t help but enjoy it. The real star of the show is Leatherface himself. He is a force to be reckoned with but still has layers of being a child in a Ann’s body. Leatherface got some great development throughout the film that only added, in a good way, to his mythos.
The last thing I’ll talk about is the cinematography. This movie has some great shots and that was truly enjoyable because one of my favorite things about the original is its cinematography. Leatherface is a great sequel that I can go back and watch anytime. 3/5 Stars for the saw that is FAMILY! #leatherface #moviereviews #moviereview #horror #movie #movies #2017 #texaschainsaw #texaschainsawmassacre #sequel #gore #80s
